The difference between angular contact ball bearings and deep groove ball bearings

The difference between angular contact ball bearings and deep groove ball bearings

1. Load difference

Deep groove ball bearings: mainly bear radial loads, and can also bear radial loads and axial loads at the same time. When the deep groove ball bearing has a large radial clearance, it has the performance of an angular contact bearing and can withstand a large axial load. The friction coefficient of the deep groove ball bearing is small, and the limit speed is also high.

Angular contact ball bearings: single row bearings can bear radial loads and one-way axial loads, DB combination, DF combination and double row angular contact ball bearings can bear radial loads and two-way axial loads. The DT combination is suitable for occasions where the unidirectional axial load is large and the rated load of a single bearing is insufficient. ACH type bearings for high speed, with small ball diameter and large number of balls, are mostly used for machine tool spindles.

2. Difference in contact angle

Deep groove ball bearing: When it only bears radial load, the contact angle is 0°.

Angular contact ball bearings: The standard contact angles are 15, 25 and 40°. The larger the contact angle, the greater the axial load capacity, and the smaller the contact angle, the more conducive to high-speed rotation. Angular contact ball bearings are suitable for high-speed, high-speed Precision rotating occasions.

3. Structural difference

Deep groove ball bearings: The inner and outer diameters and width dimensions of deep groove ball bearings are the same as those of angular contact ball bearings. There are double shoulders on both sides of the groove of the outer ring, and the curvature is smaller than that of the angular contact ball bearing

Angular contact ball bearings: The size and structure of the inner ring of angular contact ball bearings are the same as those of deep groove ball bearings. The outer ring groove is generally a single shoulder, and the specific value of the position must be considered in the design, which is related to the degree of the contact angle.

4. Use difference

Deep groove ball bearings: Deep groove ball bearings can be used in gearboxes, instruments, motors, household appliances, internal combustion engines, transportation vehicles, agricultural machinery, construction machinery, engineering machinery, roller skates, yo-yos, etc.

Angular contact ball bearings: machine tool spindles, high-frequency motors, gas turbines, centrifuges, small car front wheels, differential pinion shafts, booster pumps, drilling platforms, food machinery, dividing heads, low-noise cooling towers , mechanical and electrical equipment, air compressors, various transmissions, planetary reducers, reducers, food packaging machinery, electric welding machines, inspection and analysis equipment, etc.
